Biography
Ben received his PhD from the University of Leeds (UK) in 2008. In May of that year, he began work as a Research Associate within the School of Sport Science, Exercise and Health (SSSEH) at UWA. He worked as a Lecturer in SSSEH from January 2012, and has been in his current role, as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Human Sciences, since March 2015.
Key research
Ben co-chairs the 'Psychology of Active, Healthy Living' (PAHL) group in the School of Human Sciences. Research activity and community initiatives within the PAHL group focus on (a) advancing our understanding of health and physical activity, and (b) the development of sustainable and effective health promotion interventions.
