Biography
Thomas Bräunl is Professor at The University of Western Australia, Perth, where he directs the Renewable Energy Vehicle Project (REV), having converted several road-licensed cars to battery-electric drive. He is Technical Director of the West Australian Electric Vehicle Trial and the Principal Investigator of the ARC Electric Vehicle Fast-Recharging Project. He has worked on Driver-Assistance Systems with Daimler and on Electric Vehicle Charging Systems with BMW. Professor Bräunl holds a Diploma from Univ. Kaiserslautern, Germany, a M.S. from USC, Los Angeles, and a PhD and Habilitation from Univ. Stuttgart.
