Dr. Haibo Jiang completed his PhD in Materials at University of Oxford, and continued for a postdoc in Prof. Chris Grovenor’s group working on nanoscale secondary ion mass spectrometry (NanoSIMS) for biomedical imaging, during which he demonstrated high-resolution direct visualization of lipids and peptides in cells and tissues. He moved to The University of Western Australia in 2015 as a Lecturer. Haibo’s research interests are focused on the development of novel analytical methods for biological applications, particularly multiplexed and high-resolution imaging of molecules with mass spectrometry imaging. His current projects involve further understanding of lipid transport, cellular cholesterol efflux and antimicrobial resistance.
