Expertise in sedimentology, sequence and seismic stratigraphy, basin analysis, 3D seismic stratigraphy and seismic geomorphology.
My research interests include:
- 3D seismic geomorphology
- Tectono-stratigraphic evolution of the Australia's North West Shelf
- Cenozoic carbonate margins and slopes of the North West Shelf
- Characterization of siliciclastic shallow marine reservoirs using integrated datasets, depositional analogues

Future research
I have openings for Masters and/or Ph.D. students to study sedimentary basin evolution, sedimentary processes and sequence stratigraphy in marginal to deep-marine environments. Potential PhD projects may be related to the current projects listed above, however, I can also accommodate additional projects in other areas.
Most of the projects will be based on strong linkages with the petroleum industry, and may include co-supervision by experts from other disciplines such as structural geology, biostratigraphy, or 3D modelling.

Unit Coordinator:

GEOS4412 (Petroleum Systems) & GEOS5503 (Petroleum Resources).

These units aim to develop skills relevant to petroleum exploration and production. These units are especially valuable to students actively seeking employment in the energy sector after graduation.

I teach Sequence Stratigraphy and 2D/3D Seismic Stratigraphy courses in these units.
