- I obtained a PhD with Distinction in Computer Engineering from The University of Western Australia in 2011. I have developed efficient algorithms for human recognition from 2D and 3D ear and face images and currently applying them addressing critical maritime surveillance and dental challenges. I have a total of 28 published scholarly articles that attracted 155 citations (h-index: Google-7, ISI/Scopus-4) and five public media releases. Currently I am working in Curtin School of Civil and Mechanical Engineering and UWA School of Dentistry leading a number of multi-disciplinary research projects in the area of Computer Vision and Image-guided Orthodontic and Maxillofacial Surgery respectively. I have secured four locally and two nationally competitive research grants. I also served as Associate Editor of five journals, Technical Committee Member for 14 conferences, Reviewer of 14 journals and 19 conferences, and Member of seven professional bodies.
