UWA provides a range of workshops dealing with Inclusion and Diversity.

These are organised by Inclusion and Diversity and Organisational and Staff Development Services to help you gain a better understanding of the issues and how to approach them.

Of the core Equity and Diversity workshops, two – ALLY and Courageous conversations about race – are offered each semester.

Understanding diversity
Working effectively with human diversity in the workplace and study environment.
Disability awareness
Developing a proactive response that maintains an inclusive workplace and learning environment that is focused on ability.
Courageous conversations about race
Working effectively with people from culturally diverse backgrounds
ALLY training
Understanding the issues and life experience of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, asexual/agender or other (LGBTIQA+) staff and students.
Inclusive campus culture
Building capacity around creating, sustaining and deepening an inclusive workplace.
Equal opportunity, diversity and discrimination: Managers and supervisors
Looking at the breadth of current legislation and discusses how these laws impact on the responsibilities of managers and supervisors.
Other workshops and sessions
Customising other workshops for various audiences across the University community depending on the needs of the local area.

Equity and Diversity also regularly delivers guest lectures into the curriculum on matters broadly relating to the achievement of equity and diversity in Australian society.
