Configure Mail on iOS for student email

To access your UWA Student Email through Mail on iOS, you will need IMAP enabled.

Check IMAP is enabled

  1. Sign in to your UWA Student Email via the webmail.
  2. Click on the cog icon at the top right corner of the mailbox and choose 'Settings' from the drop down menu.
  3. Click 'Forwarding and POP/IMAP'.

  5. Select 'Save Changes'.

Configuring Mail on iOS

Step one

Open 'Settings' by tapping on the cog icon.

Scroll down and select 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars'.

Step two

Select 'Google' as the account type.

On the next page, enter your student email address, eg [email protected].

Tap 'Next'.

Step three

You will be taken to the UWA Single Sign-On page. Enter your Student Number and Pheme password.

Tap 'Login'.

Step three

Once your account has been verified you will be prompted to choose which features you would like to enable.

Make sure 'Mail' is set to 'On'. We recommend you also set 'Calendars' to 'On' so you can use Student Calendaring.

You can come back and change these settings later if you wish. 

Tap 'Save'.

You are done!

You will be notified that your account has been added successfully and returned to the 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' page, which will now display your UWA Student Email account. 

If required, you can edit your account information and settings by tapping on the account name.

To access your email, open the 'Mail' app.

Select 'UWA Student Email' from under the 'Accounts' heading.
